WIP Wednesday Lots of Quilt Blocks!

Wow!  It is amazing how fast quilt blocks accumulate when you are making two a day!

I have been playing along with the 100 Days 100 Blocks Instagram event hosted by Gnome Angel for   almost three weeks.

This work in progress has two variations for me.  The first is simply a stash buster!  I am making it as scrappy as possible and using up as many of my fabrics as I can.  Honestly, to do this one and make a real dent in my stash I would need to make about 50 of these quilts and I would still have a great stash, lol!

The second is made from 100% garments that are from thrift shops or my closets.  I have also added a personal challenge to make the up cycled garment blocks as creative as possible.  Add texture or a creative twist that is unexpected.  These blocks have been so much fun to make!

Here are some of my blocks from the past week ( or so).

You can still join in on the fun of the event!  It is open to anyone on Instagram.  There are prizes although I am not competing for them, I am just sewing for fun!  Check out Angie (gnome angel) on instagram to find out more!

To see my daily blocks you can find me on Instagram as gogokim :o)

I am linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday!  Go see more of what everyone is working on!

Love all your blocks. If I didn't have so much on my plate, I'd join in for sure.

Two blocks a day is really cranking them out! And aren't they fun, I love the fussy cutting with the glasses :)

Wow! That's quite a few blocks! Your fabrics are so much fun. I like your idea of using thrifted garments or from your closet. Very cool. Wendy at piecefulthoughts@gmail.com
