WIP Wednesday!

What have you been sewing this week?

I am up to my eyeballs in Economy blocks...again!  This is not a bad thing, quite the contrary!  It means I am making progress on my WIP quilt from a few weeks ago.  Today will be spent digging for more treasures for fussy cuts in my sewing room.

All of my Economy Blocks are made using the 4" finished block from Generations Quilt Patterns and can be found here.

For these blocks I have been using a variety of fussy cut centers and then surrounding them with Liberty of London Lawn fabrics. All of my paper pieced blocks have been stitched using Aurifil 50wt thread to decrease bulk making perfect blocks!

The Lawn fabric is a very light fabric and is not as sturdy as a quilter's cotton.  When I am using Liberty fabrics, I use spray starch to help make it easier to sew and not give you wonky blocks ( unless you are going for the whole wonky thing).
