I'm a new quilter so am still figuring out how to pick colors for a quilt. So far all I've done are 2 quilts (one still in progress) using charm packs so I didn't have to work too hard. But I've love to make a bright one using turqoise, orange, lime over dark grey.

So jealous of your Market trip! I don't think I have ever met an Art Gallery fabric I didn't love, and these fat quarters are no exception. In my designs I am all over the place, but right now my favorite colors are teals, pinks, limes and yellows. Thanks for the chance to win!

Lovely fabric, Kim. And I'm sorry, but I cannot pick favorite colors to use in a quilt because it is constantly changing and depends entirely on the project. Right now, yellow and gray for my own sampler, blue and green for a future king size (thinking of adding on to the hopscotch pattern), and rainbow for a baby quilt.

I love jewel tones! I'm partial to scrap quilts though, so I kind of like them to be all of the rainbow spectrum. I also like really bright summery colors, like if I were making a quilt for just me instead of me and my husband to share, I'd do hot pink, lime green, teal, and tangerine!

I love mixing black and white prints, with really bold solids.

I'm making a quilt using an line from Kate Spain ~ can't remember the name of it but it has aqua, pinks, oranges, browns and greens and using mustard for the background. It's turning out wonderful!

It depends on the recipient, but I like using black, white, and brown with just a bit of something bright (like red or teal).

Well, it really depends on who I am making the quilt for on what colors I like to use. I made a great one with black, white, and red for my brother and his bride.
If I was going to make a quilt for myself right now, I think I'd like to use curry, gray, and navy thrown in. Of course, then I'd have to paint the bedroom because I'd want the quilt for my bed :/

Blues are my favorite colors. Rich and vibrant, dark and luxurious, bright and cheerful, pale and calm, I like them all. Currently I love things with reds, aqua and greys! I fell in love with Ruby when I first saw the Swoon quilt by Bonnie & Camille. I did purchase the kit to make the quilt for myself, but have been too busy to start it yet. Soon though...

Forcolour combos I can often be found up-ending the orange and blue scrap bins. But I seem to be buying a lot of green and grey lately, and some kona snow, so perhaps a quietly coloured quilt is on the way...
