I have seen so many GORGEOUS pincushions made from my free Cathedral Window Pincushion tutorial from way back in December 2011 and also from the tutorial I did for Moda Bake Shop in 2012 where the free pdf is available. Both are free and so simple! I was so happy that I was able to make something so beautiful and so easy to share with everyone.
I made one today for my friend Pat Sloan. She sent me some of her new fabric line "One For You One For Me" for Moda to play with and I simply COULD NOT RESIST making a pincushion with this happy Spring like fabric. I did the topstitching with my workhorse Aurifil 50wt in beautiful white.
These beautiful pincushions were made by Debbie by Happy Little Cottage, she even has them in her etsy shop so if you are not ready to tackle one yet, you can still have one of your very own :o)
This one was made for a swap from Leanne from she can quilt
These were made with sweet fabric buttons by Amy from Eamylove
If you have made one of these fun pincushions from my tutorial either from my blog or Moda Bake Shop... THANK YOU! It makes me feel so good to see all of the sewing happening :o) And please let me know if you have made one( or 1000) I would love to share some more of these lovely pinnies made by YOU!
i am squealing up here!!! Thank you!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI just love your latest creation, and that daisy button is absolutely inspired! Plus...how exciting to find some of my own pinnies in your post! Thank you! This tutorial has given me so much joy, and I make these when I just NEED something pretty to look at. You are a gem to write it and share it with us!
ReplyDeleteI remember making that pincushion for the swap. I have made several from your lovely tutorial.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see this pincushion around the blogging world, I kick myself because I haven't made one yet! Alright, weekend project coming up. No more excuses!
ReplyDeleteI must have a go at one of these to add to my pin cushion collection
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, it's lovely seeing the results of your patterns out in the wild :o)
ReplyDeleteI want to make one too but I've been chicken. Maybe soon I'll put my big girl panties one and be brave.
