I was able to finish all the blocks { I can hear sighs of relief that these are FINALLY done, including ME...lol}, not this weekend as I had planned but by this morning. It was too lovely outside on Saturday and Sunday and well the yard was screaming my name for some attention! It was nice to be outside and getting my hands a little dirty :o)
My favorites of the reds
and the black/grays, I decided to lump these groups together
All lined up even though I am not convinced they will stay this way. Do you think it is better like this or random bursts of color all over? This will be the hardest part for me I think.
Don't forget today is Week 3 of the New York Beauty QAL being hosted by the very talented Megan at Canoe Ridge Creations. I will be working on mine this week! Beautiful block Megan!

That is looking so pretty! Perfect for spring.
wow! that's fantastic!
What a gorgeous rainbow :) Love this quilt so far!
Hi Kim! That looks fantastic! I love the blocks and all those beautiful colours! I think your design is perfect! Because you have made enough blocks with right colours, you could use that rainbow design. (For the random design you could have used any colours.)
I have been working also in the garden - so nice but hard exercise after sewing.

Очень круто!!! Обожаю переход цвета!! Теперь сшивать)))
I love the layout of your quilt. You used the perfect colors for the rainbow effect! It gorgeous.
Kim, your blocks are beautiful! So fun to see them all lined up like that, too. Can't wait to see what you decide to do!
The blocks are gorgeous but I think you should have a bit of play with the layout. Can't wait to see what you decide.
I love your blocks and that layout - beautiful!

Hooray for you, Kim!
I completely understand the (dare I say nerdy?) joy of seeing everything lined up in a very orderly way. I will offer you, tentatively, the response my sweetheart gives every time I try to lay out a quilt that way. He says, "Oh...nice. Looks like paint chips." Which immediately sets me to mixing things up. And I am always, always glad I did, because it has brought more energy to my project.
Might I suggest that in a smaller project, like a wall-hanging, putting them in a rainbow line would be smashing, but in a bigger project you lose some of the movement?
However, if the sight of such tremendously riotous color in such an orderly, Roy G. Biv line-up makes you happy, there's no doubt that is the way to go.
Thanks for sharing the project and the process.

Wow I love these blocks! I would go with mixing them up. Either way it will be a gorgeous quilt!
Gorgeous rainbow quilt! I like them all in order, but I am a rainbow freak ;-).
Lovely rainbow quilt! Great use of scraps - now you have my wheels turning :)
The blocks looks amazing!! I'm an orderly sort so I love them lined up like that :)
I love the colours ordered. Looking fantastic Kim xxx
Love your blocks. Very nice. I am not an orderly person myself but it does look good the way you have it.
I think you have done a great job. I love them laid out how you have them but I think the finished product will be gorgeous no matter what you decide.
I really like the blocks but I'm not sure whether I like them lined up like this or all mixed up. Perhaps post a picture of them that way?
Yay, well done! It does look fab in rainbow order, but I can see that it would be fun to just jumble them all up, or maybe go diagonally or something
I love it just that that.
Love these blocks and they look beautiful in the rainbow arrangement- you could also go diagonal as Katy said.
Love the rainbow! Looks like spring :)
