Market day one...or at least part of day one

As everyone knows I am a HUGE Aurifil fan as are most people I know that sew. As Heather said on her blog " It is the s***".  So first thing, straight away, Laurie and I headed over to meet Mr. Aurifil ( before all of his other swooning fans) in the flesh, covered by a really nice Italian suit and a super fine shirt of course ;o)

The yummy threads in so many colors are fabulous but what I had forgotten to photograph was that Aurifil has colors in sets that match perfectly with Moda fabrics.  I was a bit smitten with meeting the thread guy ( as Laurie calls him) silly me so please forgive me for missing those shots.

I think Alex is afraid of me... he has a very nervous smile and I am sure the thought of " Uh oh...another crazy fan" LOL!

Much more at ease with Laurie since they are old friends :o)

This is the center aisle from almost the back of the convention center. I know for a FACT that in two days and a LOT of walking ( I lost 4lbs while there) I did not see all of the booths.

There were so many beautiful booths with quilts I could not decide what to look at first.  These minis were very cute.

This one is a must do and look at the super cute tumbler beside it!!!!

Just walking around looking at being inspired...

How freakin cute is this!!!!!!

and this

and this!!!!!

Time to go sort some more photos for day one...

I'm so glad you had a great time. I agree. Nothing can prepare you for market--or the total sensory overload. I really enjoy seeing the business side of things.

Yay for such a fun time... So what you're saying is, Market is fab for the waistline, but crap for the fabric diet? ;o)

Love the quilt photo just under your title of "being inspired." The colors are great.
