What the heck did I do and meet LOLA!

I was working on my Believe block for do.Good Stitches and I was following the tutorial...so I thought...

Looks all colorful, nice and pretty but it is .5 too small *headbang*. I was looking at the tutorial on my ipad( without my glasses) and thought I was using the SAME ruler to get the same results. It is not the same ruler and I SUCK!!!! So back to the bins I go to get more scraps...

The good news is I found a new baby!  Right there at the Goodwill was this UGLY case marked $9.99, I picked it up and it was kinda lightweight so I HAD to look!!!!

This is what was inside!!!!!  Isn't she LOVERLY!!!!! No instructions so I had to figure out how to thread her but I was able to figure it out ( I may not be able to follow a tutorial but I can thread ANY machine).

She sews beautifully!!!!

I think she needs a name...LOLA!!!!!!

What a great find on the machine. And that sucks on the block...I had to rerip evey single square out in my first scrappy trip along block. Oviously I can't even follow a simple instrution myself.

Wow, what a great score!! Is she Italian? I've never heard of Necchi machines.

What a great find!!!! More than makes up for the oops on the block (which looks lovely in any case!)

I think my aunt had a Necchi. It is Italian. Cool find.

Oh man! I don't have a 6.5" ruler so I had to butt up another ruler next to my 6" wide one to make the cuts for my blocks.

I love your new sewing machine!

I have a very old Necchi (supernova) and I was searching online a while ago for something related to it and found a site with all the instruction manuals etc. I can't remember the site but try google and if that fails let me know and I will try to find it again.
You will LOVE your Necchi, they are brilliant machines. Your next block will be amazing!

$9.99? What a deal for a working sewing machine! Reading a few of the above comments, it sounds like a good one ~ sort of makes up for the cutting problem!

What a great find and price! Isn't it fun to find things like this! Your block looks beautiful and even though it didn't turn out the right size.

What a great find! I have an older (1965 maybe since they were still manufacured in Italy) Necchi that I got a goodwill too that I love. It has such a sweet stitch. I have found that you can find almost any user manual online, most for free.
