like you I have aprons but rarely remember to wear one. Must make more of an effort as they do protect from splashes etc. The type that come up with a band that goes round my neck get my vote, have the waist ones too but they do not protect as much. No excuse for not wearing as they hang on the kitchen door.
ReplyDeleteI need the one that goes all the way to the top…I'm constantly splattering stuff all over my shirt.
ReplyDeleteI've made four from McCalls M2947, with lots of gingham and ruffles. My favourites are the frilly 1950s housewife styles with full skirts. My late teen stepdaughter, seeing the ones I made for myself and my MIL, asked for her own.
ReplyDeleteI have made lots of aprons, but never wear one!!! I love all the ones you showed. You can see mine here

I only tend to throw one on at Christmas, when I'm cooking the dinner but following the family tradition of dressing up for the meal. No idea why, it's the same 4 of us that start and end the day together, no-one else comes and goes!
