My first sewing of 2015! I have another project I am very behind in doing but since I have not sewn anything in at least three to four weeks, I decided to play along with and practice with Pat Sloan for her FREE 2015 Block of the Month on Freepatterninfo.net. Vacation Time! I was sewing at night after going through all the mass in the foyer looking for the right stuff to make the block. I should know by now not to sew at night from past mistakes I have made but well...I am a thrillsewer and cannot seem to help myself!
No one can go wrong with fussy cut Munki Munki Ice Cream trucks ;O)
and this is my block ( oopsy)
This is Pat block! I think I will make another the correct way this time. It is a great block and Pat even shares a different way to make flying geese!

wow- great! I love it :D and I think I should make one for me :D
I think I like your take on this block even better! :)
I think that's a happy accident. Cute block!
That's actually a very neat variation of the block. I could also see another variation of it by surrounding the center pink square with white, then making the four outside points pink. The four pink and white flying geese units would be replaced with plain rectangles. That would make an "O" block to complement the "X" block you invented here. You could alternate the "X" and "O" blocks in rows. (Actually, I might fussy cut the center of the "O" block from a fabric with a white background, then make the "O" pink, then leave the points white.) What do you think?
Oh, happy accidents are the way to go sometimes!
I love it!
Oh I don't know, I rather like this version!
I love the colors and I love the block :-)
I really DO like your "hurry" block!!! It took me a bit to spot the "error"! I think you were very brave to attempt to pull it together in the midst of.......well, you know!!! Hugs..........
Happy mistakes can be good! And your block is very good!
