Love the Splendid Sampler. Piecing is my favorite because that's where I have the most experience. The other blocks are more challenging, which is fun too.
Machine piecing is my favorite. I like the preciseness of it!! I am a little afraid of paper piecing but I think if I ever gave it an honest go I would LOVE it because of the cleanness of the end product!

Wow - how do you pick? I love choosing each fabric & putting them together so they show off each block design just the way I see it in my mind. Piecing each block and then piecing the blocks into the final pattern is such a creative "rush" -

Hand piecing and applique was my favorite until my hands got old. I still do a little hand sewing, but most of my stitching is done by machine.

Mostly I enjoy all the sharing of so much fabulous work. I'm still pretty new but I"m learning. I enjoy piecing, I'm always backward with my paper piecing, I even managed Y seams this summer. There's always something new, always something to learn, always something inspiring and fabulous to see. I love it all. :)

I love all steps of quilting, but starting the project, choosing the fabric and working on my blocks are my fav. part..........I do have problems finishing all of my projects........my friends are faster and they start doing something else before I finish my last quilt.......so I start another one with them..........lol

I love hand piecing hexagons! So relaxing and portable! Though I do love my sewing machine, there is nothing that compares to getting lost in your thoughts and stitch away!
I prefer piecing but I always have a pp project in the works at all times because I like that too!
Piecing is my go to, I like pp piecing for accuracy and when I really want to unwind I will do some hand work.
