WIP Wednesday Tula Pink 100 Modern Quilt Blocks

Last week I posted my entry for The Blogger's Quilt Festival on Wednesday instead of sharing my quilt blocks.  You can see the quilt I entered for the Scrappy Category here.

This week I am posting my blocks for 100 Days 100 Blocks.  The fun sew along happening on Instagram, hosted by Angie from Gnome Angel. We are using Tula Pink's 100 Modern Quilt Blocks.

These are a small sampling of what I have made in the past two weeks.  I have more but decided against sharing them all today because I have so many! I will probably have a second post tomorrow with more :o)

First up this week are the fussy cut blocks.  I am attempting to make 100 fussy cut blocks. Not sure if I can manage 100 unique scrappy blocks from my stash but I am going to try!  These are all scrappy and really super adorable!

I stumbled upon this fun house fabric from Birch Fabrics.  It is out of print but reminded me of living in Southern California!

These  Japanese fabric robots were on two five inch squares .  I was thrilled when it worked out just right for fussy cuts!

Denyse Schmidt and Heather Ross or Munki Munki always work perfectly together!

No fussy cut quilt is complete without Heather Ross gnomes!

I just had to have a block with fun lipstick!

The second set are the up cycled garment blocks.  All of these blocks have been made using thrifted garments, garments from our closets and also now, I have quilty friends sending me garments they were not using! Thank you so much!!!!!

The ombre in this block was the left over pieces from the bigger ombre block.  I am trying to have no waste with these blocks!

I am trying not to choose favorites but this one makes me so happy! The log cabin is tiny! The strips were only 3/4in!  I love sewing tiny!

This one has the a gorgeous shirt fabric from Bonnie Hunter!  She went through her up cycled garment pile and sent me some beautiful pieces !  Thank you Bonnie!

This block has two diagonal cut log cabins from the big red quilt!  It looks super cool!

All of my blocks have been pieced with Aurifil 50wt thread using my Bernina 440 QE.  I use Aurifil for perfect piecing.  The thin but strong thread guarantees my 1/4 inch seams are really 1/4 inch          ( unless I mess them up).  It is also almost completely lint free making my machine run better longer!

I am still behind with my blocks and will be for a little longer ( sew what is new...LOL).  If you want to keep up with my daily posts of go-go goodness you can find me on Instagram as gogokim!

What WIP's are you working on this week?

Linking to Finish It Up Friday!!!!!
