A Finished New York Beauty Cushion Cover!

I did it! I have a finish for the month of November!

Very excited because it is also a Christmas gift!! Have you started on (or finished) your holiday gift sewing?

The New York Beauty center was created using this Free Pattern.

When I was asked by Scott Hansen from Blue Nickel Studios to make something for his fabric line Tie One On, it was the first thing I thought of to show off the beautiful fabrics!

This Anna Maria Horner fabric was perfect for the envelope back!  Cannot remember what the name is (can someone help me out) but just WOW! Love it!

All cushions with binding always look beautifully finished! It takes a little more effort but is really worth the end result. It only took about two hours for me to hand bind the 20in cover. I good needle, a good show on Amazon Prime and coffee! It was really nice 😊

The quilting was super simple to allow the New York Beauty to SHINE!!!!!

If you have never paper pieced a New York Beauty block, you can find my tips by visiting How To Paper Piece Quilt Blocks ( free pattern link and video).

They are not difficult to make at all when you get your groove on! Always start with Block 0 (it is the most simple) to find your groove!

I would love to hear all about your Happy Holiday sewing projects!!!!!!

You did a great job on that pillow, Kim. For me, paper piecing is mostly a chore, so I don't do a lot of it.

This is gorgeous, and I'm looking to make it for a swap. The link to the pattern makes an 8" block. Did you get a 20x20 cover by adding a 2" border all the way around, or did you size up the pattern?
