I live a 5 minute walk from the Olympic White Water Rafting place, so I take my Gog-daughter over there to watch the people canoeing and rafting round the park and then have a picnic in the country park that it's attached to.

This summer, I plan on doing lots of sewing as I have the summer off. When my kids were little, spray bottles with water to water the plants was always a hit, sidewalk chalk, visits to the beach, zoo, etc were fun.
I am going to get up earlier than my kids to fill up water balloons once a week, and after they eat breakfast we are going to have a huge water fight!
I'm planning on taking college courses this summer so i won't have a whole lot of free time but i am planning on taking my niece and nephew out kite flying at least once or twice.
Planning to get the kids involved by using their artwork to make individual quilts for each of them.

This summer I plan to finish the quilts I'm entering in our guild's quilt show. I've got a good start!
You should try geocaching with kids. It's like treasure hunting with a GPS. My kids enjoy it, especially at nature reserves. My kids will have swim and tennis lessons (1st time) this summer too.

My daughter and I are going to make a picnic blanket as soon as school is out so that we can read under the trees this summer. My son and I are going to be training for a fall half marathon.

I will hopefully be moving! Fun ideas for kids... how about making your own bubbles and bubble wands? I remember doing that when I was a kid - mix of dish soap and water (I forget the ratio but you can look it up) and we used old wire hangers to make the wands. We used those aluminum pie tins to hold the bubbles and to fit our giant bubble wands.

This summer I plan on keeping my little one busy by taking beach, lake, river and camping trips. Also, she sees me hand quilting, embroidering and working on EPP projects all the time, she really wants to as well. So, she's learning to sew now. She's 5 and to start, I've given her a plastic darning/tapestry type needle ann some burlap. She's drawn her own rainbow on it and now she's sewing over it with some yarn. A lot easier for her little hands to learn sewing and embroidery!

Hoping to have lots of quality rest time from teaching this summer, and then we have a family reunion planned in August.
Day camps for the big kids, swimming lessons for all!
We always go camping in a national forest at the end of the summer, and try to explore different areas of the Pacific Northwest. Otherwise, I'll just be trying to juggle my 2.5 year old and my new, 8 week old baby.
